O So Excited
1st off, let me say, I hope everyone had a safe and fun Christmas. I sure did. My mom & dad (Santa) got me a personal size cricut. I already had the expression, but it was getting too heavy for me to lug over to my friends, so yay for portability! I also got a few Joann fabric gift cards, some visa ones, and of course good ole cash. So I went to Joann's yesterday and bought myself a Cuttle bug!! Had a 40% off coupon too, cant go wrong with that. Also with all the loot, it allowed me to get some embossing folders, pom pom makers, some tweezers for scrapping, pen point glue, a 10 drawer file system (bright colors) and other odds. Its great. so excited. should have cost me well over 220$, I only spent 124$ !! Great sales, coupons and no money outta pocket bc of the cards & what nots. So woo hoo! Now Im trying to turn my 2nd room (that was turned into storage room) into my craft room I have always wanted. Sucks..when you clean, why does it always seem to get worse before better? lol

Wedding crafts
The following are some of the items I made for the wedding. I did alot of DIY for our wedding. Love crafting!!
Bubbles that were available for our guests..no biggie on the design, but you would be surprised at how much people charge to have these simple things made. It cost me 1$ for 9 bottles (Dollar Tree) and 3$ for the labels to make over 120 and still have plenty of labels left)
After having a disaster with trying to make my own from scratch and using velum, I went to Michaels and found this cute DIY kit, but changed it up to make it more ours. Everything was built into the envelope
I added the hole punches and the ribbons on the side
This was my ring pillow (Before all the crystals were on it)
This was the boutonnieres for the groomsmen, groom, and parents.
I designed the vase setting.Christmas ornaments and snowflake stems, with a matching wreath
My grams made these beautiful topiary trees for me.
My waterfall bouquet that my mother made for me
These were all my goodies. I have hot chocolate cones, and the clear boxes were brown chocolate penguins and white chocolate snowflakes (courtesy of my friend Kathy..TY!)
This was my tossing bouquet. Crystal "G" on the grip
These were my center pieces. They were vases that had "snowballs" on top
I bought all these little penguins from Burger King..lol. 120 of them. The local BK's hated me. 1$ a pc. I made grooms with ties and bow ties, and brides with veils, tiaras, and head bands.
The pomander (Kissing) Balls I made for my girls. These came out a lot larger then I thought..lol (There is not a hole in the arrangement, A bud fell off that we replaced after the photo)

Help! Im a Newbie!
So, the only thing I have ever really done close to blogging is a live journal some 8 years ago. So I am a Noob at this blogging thing. So any tips, feel free to write on here to me!! I want to use this as a sort of creative out put and show the crafting world what I can do. I would like to receive constructive criticism on works that I post on here. Nothing outright mean and nasty, but something that I may learn from and better myself and projects from. I would also like to use this as a place to blow off a little steam after work if it has been a tough day. That being said, let me tell you a bit about my self. I am 25 years old as of December 4, 2010. I have been married 1 year as of December 12, 2010, and been with my husband a total of 4 years since November 21, 2010. We both are full time at our jobs, and I am currently enrolled in school and working towards my degree to become a teacher. I would love to teach Kindergarten. My husband works in retail for a large company, and I work for an outdoors store that sells everything for your hunting and outdoors needs in that department. (Now before anyone goes on a rant here, I do NOT hunt, nor condone the useless killing of animals. I believe it should not be done trophy hunting, but only for food needs). Sometimes I get evil customers in our stores that do not care about anything but themselves. I have learned that men are generally worse customers then women when it comes to complaining; even though some people will disagree. My husband and I live in a nice apartment and are saving up for our first house. We have a wonderful 4 yr old Min Pin who is spoiled rotten and goes by the name "Heidi". We also have a lovely cockatiel named "Pacman"(whom we later found out was actually Pacwoman) and 2 sugar gliders that are "Callisto" and "Bacchus". (Greek and Roman names..check them out..because it is true..Callisto does worship Bacchus..lol). We are avid pet lovers, and these pets are our children. I love to craft by the way. I dabble in a little of everything. I have several Provo Craft machines, one of them being the Cricut Expression, so if you have any tips on it...SHARE THEM PLEASE!! My husband and I enjoy theme parks, even though most of the time we go, we do not ride, but take photographs of everything. We love the outdoors, and enjoy kayaking when we can get out with my parents and go. Well, enough for my 1st blog. Do not want to bore you. I'm signing off for the night, and leaving with a picture of my husband and I on our wedding day, a pic of Pacman and Hedi.
Thanks for reading.

This is Heidi on her Reese's bed w/her duck and penguin chews
This is Pacman saying "Hello!" under her yarn "fluff" my grams made her
This is us before the wedding ceremony. We couldn't see each other yet, but the photographer came up with this so we could touch hands and kill some of the jitters.
ps: gun slinging is bc of my job, and penguin bc it is something that has been between my husband and I since we were friends. Our wedding in fact was snowflakes and penguins.
